Nova Scotia's coast is a valuable resource for our province and to our coastal communities that
depend on the sea for their livelihoods and sustainability. In this database you can find information
on Nova Scotia's wharves and harbours, harbour facilities, fishing activities and tourism operations. You can
search the information by geography or by topic area.
© Close to the Coast Whether you are traveling our coast by boat, canoe or just swimming, you can find all the information you need by browsing our informative section on Nova Scotia's © Close to the Coast.

Last month a study was completed in Nova Scotia entitled "Economic Impact of the Nova Scotia Ocean Sector 2002-2006". This study builds on previous studies conducted for Nova Scotia in 1998 and 2005, and similar work done at the national level, by providing economic data on GDP, household income, and employment. Click here to view the study: Economic impact of the Nova Scotia ocean sector 2002-2006.
